Tenant Onboarding
Use the Move-In wizard to create the tenant, lease context, inspection baseline, contract step, and deposit step.
Before you move in a tenant
Section titled “Before you move in a tenant”- Open Properties.
- Confirm the property exists.
- Open the property and confirm the target unit exists.
- Confirm the unit is available for the move-in workflow.
- Review billing setup if the lease should use a saved billing setup.
Start Move-In
Section titled “Start Move-In”- Open People or Properties.
- Open the target tenant/unit workflow.
- Start Move-In.
- Confirm the wizard header shows the correct unit and property.
Step 1: Tenant Details
Section titled “Step 1: Tenant Details”- Enter First Name.
- Enter Last Name.
- Enter Phone Number.
- Add Email Address if available.
- Add ID Number if your company records it.
- Add Address if needed.
- Set Start Date and End Date.
- Choose Saved Billing Setup (Optional) if the lease should use one.
- Add Special Conditions if needed.
- Select Next Step.
Step 2: Inspection
Section titled “Step 2: Inspection”- Review the unit and meter baseline questions.
- Record condition details required by the form.
- Record starting meter readings if the workflow asks for them.
- If inspection is skipped, enter a skip reason.
- Save and continue.
Step 3: Contract
Section titled “Step 3: Contract”- Review the contract step.
- Generate a basic contract or use the available contract action.
- Choose the signing option shown by the app, such as send for signing or sign in person.
- Continue when the contract step is complete or intentionally skipped.
Step 4: Deposits
Section titled “Step 4: Deposits”- Review the required deposit and initial payment information.
- Select Record deposit payment if a payment is being collected.
- Complete the payment fields.
- Select Complete Move-In.
- Confirm the tenant appears in People or Tenants.
Review tenant records
Section titled “Review tenant records”- Open People.
- Search for the tenant.
- Open the tenant record.
- Review overview, financials, details, documents, and activity.
- Open related lease or payment actions from the tenant record when needed.
