Tenant Onboarding

Use the Move-In wizard to create the tenant, lease context, inspection baseline, contract step, and deposit step.

  1. Open Properties.
  2. Confirm the property exists.
  3. Open the property and confirm the target unit exists.
  4. Confirm the unit is available for the move-in workflow.
  5. Review billing setup if the lease should use a saved billing setup.
  1. Open People or Properties.
  2. Open the target tenant/unit workflow.
  3. Start Move-In.
  4. Confirm the wizard header shows the correct unit and property.
  1. Enter First Name.
  2. Enter Last Name.
  3. Enter Phone Number.
  4. Add Email Address if available.
  5. Add ID Number if your company records it.
  6. Add Address if needed.
  7. Set Start Date and End Date.
  8. Choose Saved Billing Setup (Optional) if the lease should use one.
  9. Add Special Conditions if needed.
  10. Select Next Step.
  1. Review the unit and meter baseline questions.
  2. Record condition details required by the form.
  3. Record starting meter readings if the workflow asks for them.
  4. If inspection is skipped, enter a skip reason.
  5. Save and continue.
  1. Review the contract step.
  2. Generate a basic contract or use the available contract action.
  3. Choose the signing option shown by the app, such as send for signing or sign in person.
  4. Continue when the contract step is complete or intentionally skipped.
  1. Review the required deposit and initial payment information.
  2. Select Record deposit payment if a payment is being collected.
  3. Complete the payment fields.
  4. Select Complete Move-In.
  5. Confirm the tenant appears in People or Tenants.
  1. Open People.
  2. Search for the tenant.
  3. Open the tenant record.
  4. Review overview, financials, details, documents, and activity.
  5. Open related lease or payment actions from the tenant record when needed.
