Readings in the Field

Field users work from the Meters screen in the water workspace.

  1. Charge your phone or tablet.
  2. Sign in while you have internet.
  3. Confirm you are in the correct company.
  4. Open Meters.
  5. Confirm the To Read list is available.
  6. Keep your camera ready if your company requires photo proof.
  1. Open Meters.
  2. Start from To Read.
  3. Search by customer name, account reference, or meter number.
  4. Open the record.
  5. Compare the meter number in EasyBill with the physical meter.
  1. Enter the current meter value exactly as shown.
  2. Attach a meter photo if the form asks for one.
  3. Add a note if the meter is hard to read, blocked, damaged, or disputed.
  4. Save the reading.
  5. Wait for the app to confirm the save.
  6. Return to Meters and continue with the next record.
  1. Open Meters.
  2. Open Zero, Anomalies, or Long Unread.
  3. Open the record.
  4. Compare the value, photo, and previous reading history.
  5. Correct only the fields your role is allowed to edit.
  6. Escalate the record when you cannot confirm the reading.
  1. Do not guess when the meter is blocked, missing, or unreadable.
  2. Add a note or issue detail if the app provides that field.
  3. Take a photo if the form allows evidence.
  4. Tell your supervisor which meter needs follow-up.
  1. Open Meters.
  2. Check To Read for unfinished work.
  3. Check Anomalies for records that need notes.
  4. Reconnect to the internet if you worked in low coverage.
  5. Confirm saved readings are visible before closing the app.
