Property and Unit Setup
Use Properties and Property Setup to create the property structure your team will manage in EasyBill.
Open the property area
Section titled “Open the property area”- Sign in to EasyBill.
- Switch to the real-estate workspace.
- Open Properties from the main navigation.
- Search the list to confirm the property does not already exist.
- Select the add action to start setup.
Complete the Property Setup wizard
Section titled “Complete the Property Setup wizard”The real-estate property setup wizard uses these steps:
- Property Info - property name, optional property code, and property type.
- Location - address and location details.
- Unit Types - the unit mix and unit numbering.
- Review - confirm details before creating the property.
Add property information
Section titled “Add property information”- Enter Property Name.
- Enter Property Code if your team uses property codes.
- Choose the property type: Residential, Commercial, or Mixed.
- Select Next Step.
Add location
Section titled “Add location”- Enter the address details requested by the form.
- Confirm city and country fields if shown.
- Select Next Step.
Add unit types
Section titled “Add unit types”- Enter a Unit type, such as Studio, 1 Bedroom, or Shop.
- Enter How many units?.
- Add a Numbering prefix if your property uses one.
- Select Add another unit group if the property has more than one unit type.
- Select Next Step when the unit mix is complete.
Review and create
Section titled “Review and create”- Review property details.
- Review unit count and numbering.
- Go back if anything is wrong.
- Select Create Property.
- After creation, choose Set up billing or return to properties, depending on the next task.
Review property details later
Section titled “Review property details later”- Open Properties.
- Search for the property.
- Open the property row.
- Review units, occupancy, contact details, and status.
- Use Edit Property or Add Unit if those actions are available for your role.
